We got a house and are officially moving!

What a journey it has been trying to find a house near Huntington Beach that we could move to! I have never experienced anything like it and maybe processing some of this for awhile.

At the start of this year Phillip and I felt the Lord release us to move from Pasadena to Huntington Beach area to be closer to the Circuit Rider hub and all our community there. We felt it was the best thing for our family. We wanted to move July 1.

We found out that houses down there are much more expensive to rent then what we currently have. We knew we needed a two car garage for Phillip to have a work shop. Through the process we decided to rent with another couple Graham and Rachel Marshall who are amazing! The hight introvert in my freaked out but I have come into peace knowing the Lord has something in it for us and it could not be with a more amazing couple so they will share in 1/3 of the rent which makes it possible to live there.

Mid June the search was on thinking it would not be hard. Well we ended up having two realtors and I was spending hours and hours a day searching. I had to drive down over a hour one way to look at house more times then I could remember. We probably submitted 20 applications or more and every single time they would choose someone else. We found a couple houses that I wanted so very bad and had some much hope and faith. They where houses that where exactly what I wanted and in our price range. I would pray and pray and each time they would offer the house to someone else. This time of your year the housing market in that area is crazy and each rental can receive up to 20 applications!!! My packet that would be submitted was amazing with a letter explaining our hearts and lives, and still nothing. Our realtors where very surprised as well. July 1 came and went and we had to pay rent in Pasadena again. During all of this Phillip got a job in Huntington Beach at Harley Davidson so now he was commuting 2-3 hours a day and we did not have another car so we have been renting a car from Enterprise $150 a week because we had no other option. As  I am the one doing all things housing and being a wife and mom and with my personality you can only imagine the level of anxiety as time ticked on. Everyone kept telling me its because the Lord has something better and as we lost house after house I tried to keep telling myself that. Well FINALLY a couple days ago we get a call that someone wanted to rent to us! It was a house in Costa Mesa, I took Phillip to look at it and we decided  with the Marshalls that we would take it. Now this house was not really in the location we wanted but we where ok with it and there was some real things that were disappointing about it but all in all we knew that it would work. I had to release my first wave of “I don’t understand God, but I choose to be thankful that we have a house” Then we hear back from the leasing agent that Land Lord was demanding to charge us double security deposit because of your income so that means a $5900 deposit!!!! We where sick at first…. we tried to negotiate but the land lord refused and said it was the only way he would rent to us. We prayed, and talked and prayed and slept on it. I was praying we would get another call from something better but it did not come and then we just made the decision to take the house pay the deposits and trust the Lord. So I had to release another wave of “I don’t understand Lord” (cry a little) and then choose to be very thankful we have a home and we get to move.  So now I am so busy as Phillip is working, and our entire Circuit Rider community is either in Washington DC or getting ready for the 21 Project in Huntington Beach. All our “help” can’t help as they are all committed to other things. Not sure exactly how we are going to pull all this off but we move out Monday and In Monday and come back and clean Tuesday and Phillip will have move his shop later. 21 Project starts Wednesday so its on now. We have to pay rent int two sports for the rest of this month but it is what it is. I am thankful and relieved to have a place to go and its this week. The Lord is writing this story even we we don’t understand His ways in it but I know He is good!

We have real current needs:  The house is unfurnished and we need to purchase things like  A bed, some closets used as a pantry, table chairs, material for Phillip to build a few things, a new washer and dryer if possible, lamps, chairs, a dresser, dishes and stuff for outside. The money we were going to use for some of these things had go into the security deposit. So if anyone would want to give towards this our paypal, cash app and tax deductible  you can give are below.
