I have just returned from a two week trip to Fiji and Samoa.

I was in Fiji to help lead a Circuit Rider school. For those of you that remember I did part of my DTS outreach in Fiji in 2008. This was my first time to go back. I was actually in the same city I lived in before. It was so amazing to see familiar Fijian YWAM faces and see how everyone was doing. They did not recognize me at first and that was fun to!

This was my first time doing a CR school in a non-western culture. There was so much work that went into it before we ever got there by an amazing couple, Jeff and Jonni Cheek from Kona. As we sat there on the first morning of the training in the most well known Methodist Church in Latoka, I realized it was 3 years to the exact day I had the original Circuit Rider encounter. My faith soared. It was amazing as Fijian’s got saved, revived and trained in the simple gospel. Each day we had training and then outreach into the city with a big evangelistic meeting each night in the middle of a field in the city. We saw well over 200 saved, and many healed. Cancer, deafness, blindness, and a lot of inner healing! I have never been anywhere that was so easy to evangelize. One of my highlights was preaching in the field on the Holy Spirit and seeing many filled and encountered. Another one that really touched me was a woman who by word of knowledge I knew she was abused and had been her whole life. She said it was true and I saw one of the most beautiful freedoms and healings right in front of my eyes. Singing over the nations is always fun as well! There was something really special for me there as I had sown into this city 5 years ago. It was my first Circuit Rider school of the summer and I sat there listening to leaders of the city thanking Circuit Rider’s I was humbled again to see where this has gone in just a couple years.

Samoa

From there I went to Apia, Samoa, which is in Western Samoa. This is my first time in this nation. I was speaking in a DTS there of about 30 students with 1/3 Samoan and the rest Westerners. I arrived exhausted but knowing the Lord had something powerful planned. And powerful He did! This trip was a real sacrifice for me but I knew I was to go, and when that happens I know they are usually the best. This YWAM base is a real missions base. All the students and staff sleep in Fale’s which is covered but no walls, just sheets and mosquito nets. They pack like 20 people into one. There is no hot water, and the main food is bread fruit. All the men wear lava, lava’s and the women long skirt’s. Washing clothes by hand and everything is done outside. They may not have much but they are a culture of massive honor and whatever they have they give their best. Everything had to be translated but through it all Holy Spirit showed up in such a powerful way as they where all baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire. I did a ministry night for the whole base on Wednesday evening. This was probably my favorite time as Holy Spirit showed up in such a deep and powerful way. Lets just say the rugby team that was there ended up on the floor in a pile of tears. I met with many students and staff and I saw the Lord do a deep work in many. Even a young man visiting the base who was in the occult gave his life to Jesus! I made some new friends and went deeper with some that I knew before and some I will now know forever. I have never taught in a school anywhere like Samoa, I was honored and humbled again by all the Lord did!

What Now

I got back to Pasadena last night. Can’t remember the last time I was so thankful for a hot shower and Starbucks. Even as I put my clothes in the dryer I thanked the Lord for the little things! It was great to connect with my Pasadena team as I am so proud of them for all they do while I am away. Tomorrow I jump back into Circuit Rider schools. I don’t have a day off till end of August and I am fighting a pretty bad cold right now, so prayer’s for my physical body are still very needed in this season.

Also with a lot of what I am doing right now it takes quite a bit of finances so I need continued breakthrough in that.
