Youth With A Mission
YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. Founded in 1960 by Loren and Darlene Cunningham. We currently work in more than 1,100ywam.org locations in over 180 countries, with a staff of over 20,000.
YWAM Kona is one of the largest mission's base in the world, with 40 acres 18 major buildings and growing. Establish in 1978 by the Cunningham's the founders of YWAM, and it's still their home today. Every 3 month students arrive from 40-50 nations to be trained and then sent out to over 40 Nations on short term missions and in that time 5-13 Discipleship Training Schools (entry level schools) and up to 16 degree courses with the University of the Nations are run.
Some of the things the campus has is Natural Farming & Aquaponics, Community Development and Clean Water Technology, a Health Center, Transmedia Center, a Prayer Room, Sports Facilities, Early Childhood Development with a top Hawaiian Pre-school, K-12 for missions kids, and much more!
The University of the Nations is one of 4 of the large UofN locations in the world. UofN offers more than 800 different courses and seminars, in countless languages, at approximately 600 locations in 140 countries.

Role in YWAM
YWAM Kona Campus Core Leadership Team
Amy serves on the YWAM Kona Campus Leadership team bringing spiritual eldership and leadership to the Kona campus.
Amy travels all over the world teaching in different YWAM schools as well as training staff and ministering to leadership.
Fire and Fragrance
In January of 2008 Amy, along with a small team who where committed to the Lord and each other moved to Kona, HI to the University of the Nations. Along with the team she was asked by the founders of YWAM to lead out in the areas of prayer and worship. The next years where spent building the House of prayer as well as pioneering and co-founding the Fire & Fragrance Schools.
Amy has been apart of bringing leadership to the training schools at the University of the Nations campus in Kona and in other parts of the world. Amy was apart of a leadership team who pioneered Fire and Fragrance a Discipleship Training School, House of prayer and community in Kona as well as plants around the world.
F&F has sent out 70 long term missionaries, trained over a 1000 students, and presently works in 9 nations. F&F now runs the DTS-Discipleship Training Schools (In multi-nations), Apostello (training & long term teams/hub locations), RTC- Respect the Corner's (athletic fitness training running schools, a fitness gym that train's all ages, apart of bible distribution to some of the most hard to reach places, and impacts the local community with fitness, Leadership Track (Leadership and staff training), Online Training, Ekballo Project (Missions film documentary projects), Circuit Riders (Evangelism training and events, College Campus missions mobilization)
They have a shorter equipping schools that help bring leadership to a training called “Circuit Riders” that equips people in the simple gospel and sends them out into the world to preach the gospel. Their hope is that through these schools they train and release leaders who understand the word and presence of God. They believe the Lord wants to mobilize communities to advance the Kingdom of God to plant furnaces of prayer, churches, presence centered communities in every nation on earth including the darkest areas of the world such as refugee camps, slums, and closed countries. To equip a generation to go into all the world and reach the lost and release the love of Jesus.
