The Amish, The Kiwi's, The Women of Brave: Love, and University Tours

The Amish

The end of March I had one of the most amazing honors of going to Lancaster, PA and doing 3 days of teaching and ministry with hungry group of Amish. The Lord is moving in so many places including among the Amish. I don’t know when it all started for me but I have always had a interest to understand their culture and maybe it has some to do with the way I grew up in Alaska. It’s a bit of a story of how all of this started but it first began from having a YWAM student in Kona who was Amish and there where a few of them that came to Kona. As I spent time with them a real love grew in my heart as I realized how the younger generation was growing in hunger for the Lord. Over the last couple years I kept up relationship with them when I would go through Pennsylvania, and this last year a group of them came to a Circuit Rider’s gathering we did in Lancaster. The Lord opened more doors of relationship to minister to them and I saw the Holy Spirit do some pretty powerful things in their lives, encountering them with the love and power of Holy Spirit. Sitting in a home with a small group of them they asked me if I would come and teach and minister to the hungry ones. I said yes. We met for 3 nights in a building called “The Chicken Shed”. The first night there was about 30-40 and by the third night it grew to about 75 or so, primarily young people. I would say there where 3 different types of the Amish in the room. First where those who where completely Amish and in the Amish church, second where those under 30 who where still living in their Amish homes but had not yet made the decision to join the church, and the third where those who grew up Amish and had decided to not join the Amish church but many of them still apart of their families. I brought my friend Bryan Terrill from Knoxville with me. He led worship with an acoustic guitar and invested in the guys and we just went for it. It definitely was not like anywhere I have ever ministered but I loved it!!! I can’t do it justice in this letter to tell you all that happened. I spoke and taught each night on intimacy and friendship with Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit. The final night we did ministry and when I gave the alter call for the baptism of  love and the Holy Spirit most of the room came forward. It was such a sweet and powerful time, I was just amazed (as where they) at what the Lord did. Tears flowed and hearts where encountered. My love from them went even deeper.  I met some of the most precious, genuine, God fearing and loving people. I believe God is working in the hearts of the Amish of that region. This will be something that I will continue to invest in. Here I am a single woman from outside their culture, I am amazed how the Lord uses me life. On Sunday wile I was there I got to speak at two church’s of my dear friends Jamie and Emily Galloway. On the first service some of my Amish friends came and gave testimony of what was happening!  


Brave: Love Women 

I went right back to Pasadena for our Women’s Brave: Love gathering. About 500 women came. There was a strong justice/compassion focus and a catalytic activation of Love. Since then women have already been doing some amazing things from taking in foster children, adoption, gathering college women, going to the nations, going after the ending of human trafficking and pornography, just wild acts of brave: love, the reports keep coming in. 

The Kiwi's

Last week I got back from my second trip to New Zealand this year. We took a team to Auckland to run a Circuit Rider school. It was awesome! The guys we run with there are becoming family more and more so it even makes it all the sweeter. First day out on the streets they saw amazing salvations. One woman in her broken English led 7 people to the Lord is just a few hours! The first night was kicked off my Loren Cunningham, who was in the nation doing a tour to activate New Zealand again. New Zealand has such a powerful history in the Lord and so much ahead. You will hear my talk about this more and more as it’s fast becoming one of the main nations the Lord is calling me to give myself to in this season. I will be going back in September. My love continues to grow for New Zealand!

University Campus Tour & Gatherings 

I came back just in time for our big May Day event in LA. So while I am doing all these wild things, my team here in Pasadena and Orange County where on a 22 University campus tour called “March to May Day”. From the end of March they went to 22 University campus’s doing gathering each night at a different University uniting the campus clubs and preaching the message of “Love”. They started up in Northern California at Berkley and saw 1200 gathered and 40 saved! Throughout the tour they gathered over 5000 students! This was huge! It culminated in a 3 day gathering at the historic Glory Church in LA. We brought in Banning Liebscher from Jesus Culture and Francis Chan. Along with Dave Gibbions, Michael Ketter from United Pursuit as well as our own crew. It was POWERFUL! It was one of my favorite gathering’s we have done because the messages and training that where brought where life changing an foundation laying. The unity and family that continues to form is amazing. Francis Chan is one of my new hero’s! We are really seeing the Lord breakthrough in Southern California with a unity and love revolution. Praise Him! Its worth it all! I am so proud of our team, these guys/girls laid their lives in such a radical way to see all of this happen. Radical servants of love, I tell ya! 

I am home in Pasadena until end of next week and then off to Los Osos, CA to speak at Women’s gathering and then to Denver for a DTS, and the end of the month back to Lancaster for a Circuit Rider gathering. Then two weeks home in Alaska in June which I am so excited about!
