Whats Going on in the Life of the Ward's
This Blog is the update's on what's happening in our life
Living in California
It was my last night in Kona and was home alone and my house was empty. I sat on my couch and shed a few tears thinking of how much my life was changed in Kona. How in so many way’s I feel it was there I stepped into my destiny. Reflecting on how much the Lord did in and through me and all the relationships and lives. My mind was also filled with thoughts of what was coming in this move to Pasadena and stepping out in Faith into the unknown of pioneering. I drifted off to sleep…. Then I was suddenly awakened at 3:05 am and for the next hour the Lord met me in a powerful way. It had been over a year, since the Lord had met like that. Such a token of His love for what I was leaving behind and what was ahead. That day on 11/11 I left Kona.
My first stop was Oregon where I spoke at a Women’s conference called “Brave” a gathering of courageous pioneering women. This turned out to be a powerful time as the Lord did such significant things in the lives of the women of the North West as well in my own life. I mean, I leave Kona to pioneer and my first stop is to speak at conference called “Brave” about pioneering women??
In Oregon I got a car and drove to California with a stop for the night in Redding. On November 19th I arrived in Pasadena to meet my team. All seven of us had arrived that night as we had our first family dinner in our new house.
So there is 5 of us ladies and 2 guys renting two homes from US Center for World Missions. Us girls have a 3 bedroom house with a great living room and good space, and the guys have a tiny little house down the road, but most of their time is spent at our house where all the cooking and meetings are done. As I got here I realized we are literally pioneering from the ground up needing everything from furniture to silverware. Its been a real adventure gathering things to put houses together and seeing the Lord provide in amazing ways.
That first week was Thanksgiving and we had two family’s over one from the US Center and one from The Call. The convergence has begun. Over these last couple weeks we have been building relationship with US Center for World Missions leadership as well connecting with other ministries.
One of the main things we will be doing here is going after Universities to see revival happen, souls saved and another Student Volunteer Missions Movement raised up. We got to go to our first event last week on UCLA called the drop where salvation, rededication, and healing took place.
Our team has been going out doing some evangelism in the area and having some great things already happen from that. We have been having morning times of worship and prayer in our living room and other times spontaneous of worship breaking out. The Lord’s presence comes and meets us and we are all walking through greater places of surrender.
Last week I personally was in a meeting with Lou Engle and some of the elders of US Center and sharing and talking of what could come of these relationships. My heart had been very stirred with Faith for the dream on God’s heart for this place.
About a week ago I became very sick with a cold/flu. I have never had a flu effect me this long before. Tonight I sit home alone still trying to recover as the team is out doing evangelism. Though my body is still very weak, I am stirred with hope and faith for what God is doing in Southern California and in America unto the hardest and darkest nations of the earth.
Its been a busy few weeks of pioneering but its going great. I head home to Alaska for a week for Christmas and then come January we will be going full force again with getting trained for Universities and as well as stepping into greater convergence with US Center for World Missions.
I think I will have more exciting things to announce as we move into 2013.
We still have need as a team for provision for household items, as well as just financial provision for rent/utilities and food. If you would like to donate to this pioneering plant e-mail me and I can get you the info on how you can do that.
Personally I am still in need of committed monthly supporters. One of my greatest needs right now is health insurance. With being this sick and not able to go to the doctor it makes me realize again that I need to do this. So for me right now that is about $185 a month. If you would like to become a monthly supporter you can sign up HERE and just e-mail me and let me know.
Have an amazing Holiday Season. I will be checking with you all soon.
